Vidyasankul Foundation’s Sanskruti World School and Junior College conducted a Motivational Seminar on 28th January 2023. We were to have Swami Gauranga Das Prabhuji visit our school and share his words of wisdom with our students. It was a day filled with inspiration, learning, and reflection. Our students were mesmerized by Swami Gauranga Das Prabhu ji’s insight on various topics – from spiritual growth to personal development. We are grateful for the opportunity to have him visit us and impart his knowledge to our students.
ABOUT CHIEF GUEST
Swami Gauranga Das Prabhuji is a B.Tech Graduate turned Monk. He is serving in various capacities at national and global levels in the ISKCON organization. He is the Director of the Govardhan Eco-village, an award-winning Eco-village community and Co-President of the ISKCON Chowpatty Temple. He has as given more than 10,000 discourses in the last two decades on Srimad Bhagavatam, and Bhagavad Gita amongst other scriptures.
COMMENCEMENT OF THE EVENT
All the dignitaries were warmly welcomed in a traditional way by chanting shlokas from Shrimad Bhagwadgita. The Chairman Mr. Manoj Adhikari Sir felicitated the Chief Guest with a token of love and reverence. The main objective behind hosting this inspirational session was to boost the confidence of the students and to sow a seed of perseverance, hopefulness, inquisitiveness and will to win.
WISDOM BY SWAMI GAURANGA DAS PRABHUJI
Sanskrutians at the best CBSE School in Boisar, Palghar witnessed the most eminent personality ‘Swami Gauranga Das Prabhuji’ showering the pearls of words of wisdom from his ocean of knowledge and enlightenment. He addressed the students that it is important to learn the art of removing the cloud of fear in order to learn the art of self-confidence. He mentioned that it is not about competence and skill, it is about will that one must focus on. He motivated everyone to first understand ‘the self’ before understanding ‘self-confidence’. Comparison is a thief of joy, with this sentence, he added that one must focus on their own skills and competencies rather than focusing on others.
He stated the importance of being ‘Sthitapradnya’, which is the ability to remain supremely confident. Gauranga Das Prabhuji also shared some ways to attain the same. He then addressed the teachers to give the gift of “hopefulness” and a determinative attitude to the students who will then set a good example of themselves for everyone. Students became curious bees and did not miss the opportunity to extract the nectar of wisdom from the visionary Gauranga Das Prabhuij. Some of the questions asked by the students were ‘How to deal with overthinking?’, and the answer was “focus on the present”. Another question was “How to keep the fire within us ignited?”, the answer was “avoid procrastination.”
The invigorating session was concluded with a vote of thanks as well as with a quote given by His Grace Gaurang Prabhuji,
“Our entire life’s character is very much dependent on the depth, intensity and the quality of our desires”
