Ah, the school picnic. For many children, it’s a fond memory of playing in the sun, eating tasty treats and having lots of fun with their friends. For parents and teachers, it’s a chance to build lasting relationships with their students and get to know them better. A school picnic is an event that creates lasting memories and helps forge strong bonds between children, parents and teachers. To rejoice in all these moments, Sanskruti World School, the best primary school in Boisar, Palghar, recently organised a school picnic for our students. The most awaited day of the year was the school picnic at Silvassa and Silent Resort. The school picnic was for the students of Pre-Primary class to grade 10. Secondary students visited Silvassa for a picnic on 11/01/2023 and Primary students visited Silent hill resort on 12/01/2023.

Silvassa is the perfect destination for a fun-filled picnic. Located at the border of Gujarat, Silvassa has beautiful landscapes, parks, temples, stunning views, a pleasant climate, and charming architecture that will make any picnic memorable. From its lush green forests to its serene lakes, there’s plenty to explore here. Plus, there are plenty of amazing restaurants and cafes where you can refuel before heading back home!
Our Secondary students visited some of the places like Vasona Lion Safari, Deer’s Park – Satmaliya, Nakshatra Garden, Butterfly Park, Parle Company and Swami Narayan temple. It gave us the experience of being surrounded by greenery and the beauty of nature. We started at 8:30 in the morning with prayer and a feeling of a great day ahead. The students were very excited. They kept singing songs and played antakshari on the bus till we all reached the venue.
Upon arriving at the resort, we were royally greeted by the resort staff. Students enjoyed a delicious breakfast followed by a tour of the resort with thumping dance numbers. The teachers even joined in on the fun by creating a few crazy steps.
The next place visited was the green grass lawn where the students played a few games like “Blind Fold”, “Passing the ball”, “Musical Chair”, etc Every child was given an opportunity to participate and enjoy themselves.
The most enjoyable time was in the play area with swings, slides, a merry-go-round, and a see-saw. After a fun-packed yet tiring morning, we all headed for delicious lunch where we all relished many varieties of items of food followed by everyone’s favourite ice cream. When it was time for the group photograph, students made funny faces to be snapped!

Everyone was looking forward to our school picnic – students, teachers, and staff alike. The students had a great time exploring the beauty of this place and witnessing its beauty. All the students expressed a desire to revisit the places. Our school picnic helped strengthen the bond between students and teachers in an enjoyable way! They also had meaningful conversations about our goals and dreams for the future. It was a sound and safe trip. Our students are now back home with a wealth of knowledge and memories that they can cherish for years to come.
